Happy Deepavali/Diwali to all

Happy Deepavali/Diwali/holidays to all !! i have enjoyed my long weekend soooo much that i decided to update my blogspot after i found some cobwebs here and there. I had to deliver 5 cakes this weekend. A "pertunangan cake", 2 undecorated cakes (otherwise known in some circles as bare naked cakes...though i'm not sure which circles...) and 2 cakes for my regular customer ( xoxoxo Miriam). For this emergency order, i had to call upon all the forces of goodness (and my husband contributed his Jedi mind trick) and called Shyamala at Cake Connections (www.cakeconnection.com.my). She was kind enough to open the store for half an hour so i could pick up a few essential items for my cakes. THANKS PANJ!!

I am now experimenting with new recipies, well not entirely new but tiny variations of this and that ingredients to see how it impacts the final product. And, oh, by the way, my youngest daughter Sarah has been down with chicken pox for the past 1 week . She has been under house-arrest since Monday and is now borderline psychotic :) Took her for a drive today and was witness to a sudden burst of energy from a 5 year old i.e. tantrum, uncontrolled leaps, shrieks and other typical 5 year old things.

All in all, she is handling it well, although cannot for the life of her understand why she cannot go out or to school. Her elder sister finds it all too good cause she gets to hog mama & papa. Only a week or so to go before Sarah is able to get back into action

And guess what, right after that, school holidays begins for the rest of the year.

Me and the husband will have to start planning activities to keep the girls from going out of their minds......and driving the people at home bonkers :)

If anyone has any ideas, do post some of them here.

Untill my next posting, and i promise it will be this year.
